Applied Kinesiology in Franklin, Tennessee for Movement Concerns

Applied kinesiology gives patients a focused way to discuss postural stress, muscle imbalance, joint restriction, and movement dysfunction. The work suits people with neck pain, back pain, whiplash, headaches, joint discomfort, or soft-tissue injuries.

The key decision is whether movement testing adds useful information to your care. Our team reviews your health history and exam findings, then explains whether chiropractic adjustments, corrective exercises, therapeutic modalities, or injury rehabilitation fit the concern.

This service has limits. It doesn't replace urgent medical care for severe symptoms, major trauma, or signs of a serious condition. We focus the visit on musculoskeletal concerns and refer patients when another type of care is needed.

  • Describe where pain or stiffness appears during daily movement.
  • Bring details about an auto accident, workplace injury, sports injury, or earlier treatment.
  • Ask how muscle testing and joint findings relate to your care plan.
  • Discuss corrective exercises and follow-up checks before treatment begins.

This place is amazing. The staff is friendly. The office is clean and laid back. Not much of a wait. The doctor walks you through every step and tells you what he’s going to do and has answers any questions I’ve had to the best of his knowledge. Normally I am afraid to go to doctors and be in offices but this place has been a different experience. I would recommend anyone to come here. The front desk ladies are helpful and friendly

Questions About Movement Testing and Chiropractic Care

What concerns may applied kinesiology help evaluate?

Postural stress, muscle imbalance, joint restriction, and movement dysfunction are concerns applied kinesiology may help evaluate. The assessment also considers symptoms such as back pain, neck pain, headaches, and joint discomfort. Results vary by person. Our team uses the findings with your health history and exam to discuss suitable chiropractic care.

What does the team look at first during an assessment?

The health history and current symptoms come first during an assessment. We ask about injury details, daily movement, pain patterns, and treatment goals. Muscle response and joint motion follow that review. This order helps connect hands-on findings with the concern you want addressed.

What should be checked before treatment is scheduled?

Your symptoms, injury history, health history, and reason for seeking care should be checked first. Bring relevant details about an auto accident, workplace injury, sports injury, or ongoing pain. We use that information to decide whether applied kinesiology fits the visit and whether another service is more suitable.

Who is a good fit, and who needs a different service?

People with musculoskeletal pain or movement concerns may be good fits for this assessment. Severe trauma, serious neurological signs, or urgent medical symptoms need medical evaluation. Our team reviews your condition before care, and we explain when chiropractic treatment is not the right next step.

How does applied kinesiology differ from a spinal adjustment?

Applied kinesiology assesses muscle response and movement, while a spinal adjustment targets joint motion. These services can appear in the same personalized care plan when the findings support both. Our team explains the role of each treatment, so you understand what will happen before care begins.

Which symptoms should I mention at the first visit?

Neck pain, back pain, whiplash, headaches, joint discomfort, and soft-tissue symptoms should all be mentioned. Tell us what movement brings on each symptom and what affects it during the day. Those details help connect your concerns with muscle testing, joint assessment, and treatment planning.
