Pain Management Physician Care in Smyrna, Tennessee

Pain management physician care starts with the question behind the symptom. A sore neck after a collision, for example, may involve strained soft tissue, restricted motion, or nerve irritation. We examine those patterns before choosing care.

This page is for people who want a closer look at pain sources after auto accidents, workplace injuries, sports injuries, or daily strain. The service has limits. Severe symptoms, major trauma, or signs of a medical emergency need the right medical setting without delay.

For patients comparing a local pain care visit with a general adjustment, the key decision is the depth of assessment. Our team uses movement analysis, neurological exams, pain mapping, and imaging studies when clinically indicated to shape a personalized treatment plan.

  • Bring a list of current symptoms, past injuries, and activities that increase pain.
  • Note whether pain spreads, changes with movement, or affects sleep and daily tasks.
  • Ask how the exam findings connect with the proposed treatment plan.
  • Confirm the next review point and how progress will be assessed.

Service Overview

A pain management physician is a medical provider who assesses pain sources and guides care for injury and musculoskeletal symptoms.

  • Our team provides this care for patients in Smyrna and surrounding Middle Tennessee communities.

What this care helps you decide

A structured exam helps connect pain with movement, nerve signs, and injured tissue.

Pain mapping gives you a clearer way to describe where symptoms start and spread.

Corrective exercises support better control during daily tasks and physical activity.

Therapeutic modalities may support comfort while the care plan addresses movement limits.

Regular maintenance can help you stay aware of changes after active injury care ends.

Process

How pain care moves from exam to treatment

1

Complete the new patient intake

We record your health history, injury details, symptoms, and main recovery goals.

2

Review movement and pain patterns

Movement analysis shows how joints and nearby tissues respond during selected motions. We pair those findings with pain mapping.

3

Check neurological signs

Neurological exams help us review strength, sensation, and symptoms that may involve nerves.

4

Consider imaging when indicated

Imaging studies are considered when the clinical exam shows that added information could guide the plan.

5

Set the treatment plan

We explain the findings and set a personalized plan that may include spinal adjustments, corrective exercises, therapeutic modalities, or rehabilitation.

6

Review progress and next steps

Follow-up reviews look at symptoms and function so the plan can change with your response.

What patients get from a focused pain assessment

A clear starting assessment

Movement findings, pain location, and health history shape the first care discussion. This service is not the right job for a medical emergency or severe trauma that needs hospital care.

Care matched to the condition

A plan for whiplash may differ from a plan for chronic back pain. We choose techniques and exercises that fit the findings and your daily goals.

Plain explanations before treatment

Our licensed chiropractic care team explains the exam and treatment choices in everyday language. Personalized treatment plans keep the next step connected to your condition.

A way to track change

Follow-up reviews compare symptoms, movement, and function. That information helps us decide whether to continue, adjust, or end a part of care.

How pain assessment methods differ

Each method answers a different question during the clinical assessment.

This place is amazing. The staff is friendly. The office is clean and laid back. Not much of a wait. The doctor walks you through every step and tells you what he’s going to do and has answers any questions I’ve had to the best of his knowledge. Normally I am afraid to go to doctors and be in offices but this place has been a different experience. I would recommend anyone to come here. The front desk ladies are helpful and friendly

Questions about pain assessment and treatment

How does a pain management physician diagnose pain sources?

Movement analysis helps identify how motion relates to pain sources. Advanced Injury Care Clinic then reviews health history, pain mapping, neurological signs, and imaging studies when clinically indicated. These findings guide a personalized treatment plan. Individual response differs, so follow-up checks help us decide whether the plan needs to change.

What should be ready before pain care starts?

A symptom list, injury history, medication list, and record of prior care help prepare for the first visit. Bring imaging reports or claim details if you have them. Notes about sleep, work tasks, and painful movements also help. Our intake and exam then organize those details into a focused care discussion.

Which condition changes the time needed for pain assessment?

The condition, symptom pattern, and need for imaging change the time needed for assessment. A focused complaint may need fewer checks than pain with spreading symptoms or nerve signs. Our team first reviews the health history and exam findings. We then explain the next step before adding treatment.

What should I ask before agreeing to treatment?

Treatment questions should cover the suspected pain source, planned techniques, goals, and follow-up checks. Ask how spinal adjustments, corrective exercises, or therapeutic modalities relate to your exam. You can also ask what findings would change the plan. Clear answers help you choose care that fits your symptoms and goals.

Why might imaging studies be recommended?

Imaging studies may be recommended when the clinical exam shows that added information could guide care. They can help the treatment discussion when symptoms, injury history, or exam findings need more review. Imaging does not replace the health history or physical exam. Our team explains why an image may help before proceeding.

Can this care address auto accident and work injuries?

Pain care addresses auto accident and workplace injuries through assessment, treatment planning, and rehabilitation. Whiplash, back pain, neck pain, and soft-tissue injuries may need different approaches. Our team reviews the injury history and current symptoms first. The plan may include adjustments, exercises, therapeutic modalities, or follow-up care.
