Sports Chiropractic Care in La Vergne for Overuse Injuries

This page focuses on sports injuries that build through repeated training, play, or daily strain. Overuse injuries, muscle strains, joint pain, and sprained ankles each need a different exam and treatment focus.

Our team checks your health history, pain pattern, range of motion, and movement control. We then explain what we found and discuss a personalized treatment plan. The right choice depends on the injury, your goals, and whether chiropractic care fits the problem.

Sports chiropractic care isn't the right first step for every injury. Severe trauma, a suspected fracture, major swelling, or neurological changes may require medical evaluation before chiropractic treatment.

  • Describe when the pain began and which activity increases it.
  • Bring information about a past injury, current care, or recent training change.
  • Ask how spinal adjustments, exercise, or soft tissue therapy fit the plan.
  • Seek medical assessment first for severe swelling, deformity, or loss of function.

Service Overview

Sports chiropractic care is a treatment service that examines movement and supports recovery from sports-related muscle, joint, and soft-tissue problems.

  • It differs from general wellness care because the plan focuses on an injury, its effect on movement, and a return to daily or athletic activity.
  • Advanced Injury Care Clinic provides this care for patients in La Vergne and surrounding Middle Tennessee communities.

What patients get from a focused injury plan

A clear fit check before treatment

The health history and exam help us decide whether sports chiropractic care fits the injury. A suspected fracture, severe trauma, or major loss of function needs medical assessment first.

Treatment tied to movement

Pain location matters, but movement matters too. We connect joint motion, muscle tension, and activity demands to the care plan.

Options explained in plain language

We explain spinal adjustments, corrective exercises, soft tissue therapy, and therapeutic modalities before they enter the plan. Free Estimates Available and upfront pricing help you understand the financial step before care begins.

Process

How we plan sports injury treatment

1

Complete the new patient intake

We review your health history, symptoms, past injuries, and current activity. Bring any relevant medical records or imaging you have.

2

Examine movement and joint function

The exam checks range of motion, muscle tension, posture, balance, and the movements that increase symptoms.

3

Explain the findings

We discuss what the exam shows and whether sports chiropractic care fits your injury. X-rays may be considered if clinically indicated.

4

Set the personalized treatment plan

The plan may include spinal adjustments, corrective exercises, soft tissue therapy, therapeutic modalities, or injury rehabilitation. We explain upfront pricing and Free Estimates Available before treatment begins.

5

Review progress and adjust care

Progress re-examination helps us review movement and symptoms. The plan can change as your condition and activity goals change.

What this care can change for active patients

A movement exam can show how one painful area affects nearby joints and muscles.

Corrective exercises can support better control during daily movement and training.

Soft tissue therapy may help reduce muscle tension around an irritated joint.

A focused plan helps you understand which activities to modify during recovery.

Regular maintenance may support mobility after an injury, based on your individual needs.

I called this clinic to make a appointment thinking it was going to be a few days to weeks before they could see me and I was told to come right on in right then and there. The clinic is so nice and clean and has a very friendly environment. The staff is so nice and very understanding and they will work with you on your appointments to make sure it fit your needs. The Doctor is fantastic he is well educated and will explain everything to you that he’s going to do. He has a good personality and sense of humor. The receptionist is so sweet and also has the best personality. They don’t make you wait to be seen when you come in for your appointments, they get you right on to the back. They clean and sanitize everything after each use. I would highly recommend this place. I’m so glad I chose to come here. I’m feeling better & better after each visit. This is the best chiropractor I’ve ever been.

Questions about sports injury treatment

What sports injuries can sports chiropractic care address?

Overuse injuries, muscle strains, joint pain, and sprained ankles can fit sports chiropractic care when the exam supports it. Advanced Injury Care Clinic checks movement, joint function, muscle tension, and symptom triggers first. Severe swelling, deformity, suspected fracture, or major loss of function may require medical assessment before chiropractic treatment. Individual response differs, so the plan follows the findings.

What should be checked before sports chiropractic care is scheduled?

The injury history, symptom pattern, movement limits, and warning signs should be checked first. We ask when the pain began, what activity caused it, and whether swelling or weakness is present. Bring relevant records or imaging if available. That information helps our team decide whether an exam at the clinic is suitable or another medical assessment should come first.

Who is a good fit for sports chiropractic care, and who needs a different service?

Active people with movement-related muscle, joint, or soft-tissue pain may fit sports chiropractic care. Severe trauma, suspected fracture, major swelling, deformity, or new neurological symptoms need medical assessment first. Our team reviews the health history and exam before planning care. The goal is to match the service to the condition, not force one treatment onto every injury.

What happens at each stage of sports chiropractic care?

The first visit moves from intake to examination, findings, and treatment planning.

  1. We review your health history and injury details.
  2. We check movement, joint function, and muscle tension.
  3. We explain the findings and suitable care options.
  4. We begin the plan when treatment is appropriate.
  5. We review progress and update care as needed.

Individual response differs, so later care follows your condition.

Which treatment options may be used for a strained muscle or painful joint?

Treatment options may include spinal adjustments, corrective exercises, soft tissue therapy, therapeutic modalities, and injury rehabilitation. The exam decides which options fit the affected area and movement limits. We explain each option before adding it to the plan. A strained muscle may need a different focus than joint pain or an ankle sprain.

When should an ankle injury receive medical assessment first?

An ankle injury needs medical assessment first when severe swelling, deformity, inability to bear weight, or suspected fracture is present. Our team can review the injury after urgent concerns receive proper attention. Mild movement limits or lingering joint stiffness may be assessed for chiropractic care when the health history supports it. Do not delay medical care for a serious injury.

Why might pain return after activity even when the original injury feels better?

Pain may return when a movement limit, muscle weakness, or training load still stresses the area. A progress exam checks joint motion, muscle control, and the activity that brings symptoms back. We may adjust exercises or other care based on those findings. Regular maintenance may support mobility, but each plan depends on the patient’s response.
