Scoliosis Treatment for Evaluation and Movement Concerns in Brentwood

Scoliosis care begins with a focused evaluation, not a preset adjustment. We review your symptoms, health history, posture, spinal movement, and daily activity limits.

The main buyer decision is whether chiropractic care fits your needs and whether imaging or another medical review should guide the next step. A spinal exam can show movement limits, but it does not replace medical imaging when a clearer view of the spine is needed.

This service fits people seeking care for spinal imbalance, back pain, posture concerns, or movement changes. Results vary, so our team uses progress checks to adjust the plan as your condition changes.

  • Bring a list of current symptoms, past injuries, and daily activities that increase discomfort.
  • Expect posture analysis, movement testing, and a spinal examination during the assessment.
  • Ask whether imaging referral is appropriate for your symptoms and examination findings.
  • Discuss how corrective exercises and spinal adjustments may fit your care plan.

What You Get From This Scoliosis Care

A measured starting point

The first visit builds a baseline from your history, spinal examination, posture analysis, and movement testing. We use those findings to choose appropriate next steps.

Care matched to your findings

A personalized treatment plan may combine spinal adjustments, corrective exercises, soft tissue therapy, or therapeutic modalities. The mix depends on your condition and goals.

A clear limit for chiropractic care

Chiropractic care is not the right sole service for every spinal condition. Severe or changing symptoms may require medical evaluation, imaging, or referral before treatment continues.

Process

How We Evaluate and Treat Scoliosis

1

Complete the health history

The new patient intake records symptoms, past injuries, health concerns, and activities that affect movement.

2

Check posture and leg alignment

Posture analysis reviews standing position, trunk balance, and leg alignment that may affect spinal loading.

3

Perform the spinal examination

The spinal examination checks joint motion, tenderness, muscle tension, and areas linked with discomfort.

4

Test controlled movement

Movement testing shows how bending, turning, and other actions affect symptoms and function.

5

Discuss imaging referral

The team discusses imaging referral when examination findings show that additional spinal review is clinically indicated.

6

Set the personalized care plan

The plan may include spinal adjustments, corrective exercises, therapeutic modalities, and progress re-examination.

This is the most friendliest and efficient doctor’s office I ever visited. The lady at the front desk !!!! AMAZING. Great customer service. The doctor asks perfect questions and made me feel comfortable and confident with my treatment plan. Highly recommended for all patients. Even if you’re just learning to walk again! The equipment and service provided is well worth the visit.

My fiancé & I was in an accident on 4/16/2024 and since we started treatment at the clinic the staff has been very helpful. They’re very professional, polite& efficient. Dr. Roberts always make sure that she ask us if we’re ok before and after treatment. She also makes sure that we clearly understand the process and answers any question’s or concerns that we may have. I would recommend her to anyone that needs proper treatment after an injury.

Questions Patients Ask About Scoliosis Care

How does the first visit move from intake to treatment?

The first visit moves from health history to examination, findings, and treatment planning. The new patient intake records your concerns, then posture analysis and movement testing add clinical detail. Our team explains suitable options before care begins. Spinal adjustments, corrective exercises, or therapeutic modalities are used only when they fit the findings.

Which part of the evaluation decides the treatment scope?

The examination findings decide the treatment scope, including movement limits, pain patterns, posture changes, and spinal tenderness. A health history adds context about injuries and daily demands. Our team uses these details to decide whether chiropractic care fits. Imaging referral or medical review may take priority when the findings call for more information.

What changes the time needed for scoliosis care?

The examination findings change the time needed for scoliosis care. More complex movement limits, related injuries, or an imaging referral can add steps before the plan is set. Individual response also differs. Progress re-examination helps our team decide whether exercises, adjustments, or other treatment methods still fit your goals.

Can corrective exercises be part of scoliosis care?

Corrective exercises can be part of scoliosis care when the examination supports them. The exercises may address movement control, strength, and daily activity needs. Our team explains how to perform each movement and how it fits the personalized treatment plan. Exercise selection changes when pain, mobility, or other health concerns affect safety.

Why might an imaging referral be recommended?

An imaging referral may be recommended when the examination needs more detail about spinal structure. Posture analysis and movement testing show function, but imaging can provide a different type of information. Our team explains why the referral is being considered and how its findings may affect the next treatment decision.

Which care is better for scoliosis, chiropractic care or exercise therapy?

The better choice depends on the examination findings and your movement goals. Chiropractic care may include spinal adjustments, while exercise therapy focuses on active movement and control. Our team may include both in one personalized plan when appropriate. A medical evaluation takes priority when symptoms suggest that chiropractic care alone is not suitable.
